If you want to create a news alert about a specific topic, search for it.

Under ACTIONS, click Email me News alert.
If you search it's at the bottom of the page, if you browse it's in the right column.

Sign in with your Microsoft account (used to be called a Windows Live ID).

Select a news category or topic.

Choose how often you want to receive the alert, and then click Create alert.
Each alert includes a link to unsubscribe.
