On Windows 8, you can use the search charm, the Bing app, or Bing.com in a web browser, like Internet Explorer, to search.

Use a finger to swipe in from the right or a mouse to hover over the lower- or upper-right corner of the Start screen.

Tap or click Search

In the Search pane, select:

Bing to see results using the Bing app.

A web browser, like Internet Explorer, to see results using Bing.com.

Bing to see results using the Bing app.

Enter your search.
Using the Bing app
The Bing app was designed to be used on a touch device. You can find the Bing app on the Start screen.
Searching

Open the app and enter your search in the search box.
Search results appear as tiles.

To see more results, swipe or scroll to the right.
Switching apps
When you tap or click a web result, it opens in a browser. To go back to the search results, switch to the Bing app.

Filtering image results
To get image results, tap or click IMAGES under the search box. To filter image results, use the app commands that appear at the bottom of the screen.

Viewing results and web pages at the same time
To see results and web pages side-by-side, snap the Bing app to the side of the screen, and then tap or click a web result to open it in a browser.

To see an app in full screen again, drag the separator between them until the black bar disappears.
Tracking Bing Rewards
Sign in to earn Bing Rewards credits when you search with the Bing app.

To sign in to your Bing Rewards account, tap or click the Settings charm.

On the Settings pane, select Accounts.

Sign in with the Microsoft account or Facebook account that you use with Bing Rewards.
Your credit counter appears next to the search box.
To sign up for Bing Rewards, get the daily Rewards offer, or to redeem credits, go to http://www.bing.com/rewards.
Using Bing.com in Internet Explorer
Open the Internet Explorer app, tap or click in the address bar, and then enter your search. If you don't see the address bar, swipe up from the bottom or right-click the bottom of the screen with your mouse.
