Access your Facebook account from Bing Bar

The Facebook button on Bing Bar makes it easy for you to see your Facebook friends’ status updates, photos, and messages. You can quickly update your status, comment, or like a friend’s status update, and stay up to date with new messages, notifications, and friend requests.

Sign in to your Facebook account

noteNote
The permissions that you provide here will apply to both Bing Bar and Bing. This means that by connecting Facebook to the Bing Bar you are also connecting Facebook to Bing search as well.

  1. Click the Facebook button Facebook on Bing Bar.

  2. Click Login to Facebook.

  3. Type your email address and password, and then click Log in.

  4. The first time you use the Facebook button, you’re prompted to give permission to Bing to see your information. Click Allow.

Your data is kept private and won't be stored on your computer or anywhere else. You'll only need to give permission once.

Bing uses these permissions to provide you with enhanced search results and a more personalized experience, all with the help of your friends from Facebook. The social search results you’ll see use public information (and if permissions are given, private information as well) from Facebook to bring the most relevant results to the top.

Bing doesn't share anything automatically with anyone. You share only the searches, results, and comments you choose to post on Facebook from Bing as well as likes, photos, and public information you've given your permission to share.
