Show, hide, or move Bing Bar

You can move Bing Bar to a different position in your browser window. You can also hide Bing Bar so that it doesn't appear in your browser, without uninstalling it.

To show or hide Bing Bar in Windows Internet Explorer:

  1. On the Internet Explorer menu bar, click the View menu. If you can't see the View menu, press ALT to show the menu bar, or click Tools on the Internet Explorer toolbar.

  2. Point to Toolbars, and then click Bing Bar.

To show or hide Bing Bar in Firefox:

  1. In Firefox click the Tools menu, and then click Add-ons.

  2. Click Extensions, and then click Bing Bar.

  3. Click Enable or Disable, and then close the Add-ons dialog box.

To move Bing Bar in Internet Explorer:

  1. Start Internet Explorer.

  2. At the left side of Bing Bar, to the left of the Bing logo, click and hold the separator bar.

  3. Drag the separator bar to move Bing Bar to a new position.

If you can't see the separator bar in Internet Explorer, you may have locked your toolbars. To unlock them, in Internet Explorer, on the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then uncheck Lock the Toolbars.
