There are two ways to get Microsoft Hotmail on the MSN homepage:

Go to the Hotmail module, and then click Sign in.
When you sign in, you'll see how many unread messages you have. To open an email message, click Show, and then click a message. -
Click Hotmail at the top of the page.
Follow the instructions to sign-in.
About Microsoft account
A Microsoft account is an email address and password you use to sign in to all MSN and Microsoft sites and services, including MSN Money, Hotmail, Messenger, and SkyDrive. A Microsoft account also gets you in to other Microsoft sites such as Xbox LIVE, Zune, and Office Web Apps.
