Money: Research an investment using interactive charts

Quote pages on MSN Money include interactive charts to help you research investments. These charts make it easy to compare stocks with competitors, add technical indicators, and save customized charts.

noteNote
To use the interactive charts, Silverlight must be installed on the computer. If Silverlight isn't installed, click Upgrade for FREE above the large chart and follow the instructions to install Silverlight.

To go back to the old chart types, uninstall Microsoft Silverlight. However, this will affect other websites that require Silverlight.

Compare stocks

  1. On any quote details page, click the chart. A larger interactive chart appears.

  2. Above the chart, click Compare.

  3. Enter a company name or symbols in the text box, separated by commas, and then click Draw.

noteNote
To remove a stock from the comparison, click Compare, clear the check box next to the stock you want to remove, and then click Draw.

Save a customized chart

To see a customized chart later, you need to save it.

  1. In the upper right above the chart, click Save.

  2. Click a number. For example, if you click 5, you can view the chart again at any time by clicking 5 in the list of saved views.

noteNote
You can’t save stock comparison charts.
