The MSN Music Assistant is required to play music on your computer. If you are encountering problems installing:
-
Ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements and settings.
-
Ensure you are logged in as an Administrator on the computer.
-
If you are running Windows XP SP2, there are additional security measures in place to protect you. During the installation, you should see a notification bar at the top of the screen asking if it’s ok to install the Music Assistant. You must click on this to install. If you did not see the notification bar, you can go to the MSN Music Install webpage to install it.
-
Windows Vista users only: If you are using Windows Internet Explorer 7, please add MSN Music to your Trusted Sites:
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
On the Security tab, click Trusted Sites.
Uncheck the option Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.
Add the site http://music.msn.com to the list.
-
If you are going through any corporate proxies or firewalls, this may cause problems installing. Please contact your system administrator for assistance.
