This feature requires Lync Plan 3 and Exchange Plan 2.

If your version of Office 365 includes Lync-to-phone (Lync Plan 3), you can set up an account with a Lync-to-phone service provider so users can make calls to, or receive calls from, any phone number.
You can also set up Lync-to-phone voice mail by enabling users for Exchange Online Unified Messaging (Exchange Plan 2).
Set up Lync-to-phone in your organization

| License users | If you haven’t already, purchase Lync Plan 3 and Exchange Plan 2 licenses: -
In the Office 365 portal, go to Admin > Subscriptions: Purchase.
Assign licenses: -
Go to Admin > Users, select all users, and then choose Edit.

Set up voice mail with Unified Messaging
For voice mail with Lync-to-phone, license users for Exchange Plan 2, and then set them up for Unified Messaging. With Unified Messaging, users can access voice mail and missed call notifications directly from Outlook or Lync. Unified Messaging includes many other features; for details, see Overview of Unified Messaging.

| Create a SIP URI dial plan | -
Go to Admin > Exchange: Manage > Phone & Voice > New.

Under Name, enter a unique name—for example, LyncOnlinePlan1.

Under Dial-plan URI type, select SIP URI.

Under Extension length, Lync-to-phone requires that you enter the length of the full phone number, including country code.
For example: for country code 353, area code 56, and phone number 555-1234, the extension length is 12. -
Enter the Country/Region code, and then choose Save.

For the Enable-UMMailbox Extension parameter, Lync-to-phone requires that you enter the user’s full phone number, including country code.

| Set up single users in the Exchange Online Control Panel | -
Go to Admin > Exchange: Manage > Users & Groups.

Select the user name, and then click Details.

Go to Phone and voice features, click Unified Messaging, and then click Enable.

Under UM mailbox policy, add the dial plan you created earlier.

Under Extension, enter the user’s full phone number, including country code.

Click Next > Finish > Save.
