Search history helps you quickly and easily return to your most recent searches. Here's how:

Search history shows the words you searched for and the sites you may have visited, along with the date and time of your search.

Search history might also change the ranking or position of results for your repeat searches based on results that you have clicked previously.

You're in control of your search history
You have full control of the searches that are included in your search history:

You can turn off search history at any time and then easily turn it back on.

You can choose to clear only certain searches or clear them all with a click.

You can sign in to Bing with a Windows Live ID so that your searches are stored in association with your Windows Live ID and can be accessed on every computer that you’ve signed in on, or you can stay signed out so that your searches are accessible only on a single computer.
How search history works
Search history starts as soon as you search on Bing and, when you’re not signed in, continues to grow for 28 days, unless:

You choose to turn search history off.

You have signed in to Bing with a Windows Live ID. In that case all the searches you have done while signed in will display until you sign out or choose to clear them.
See your search history
You'll see your most recent search history on the left side of the search results page and on the Bing homepage.

To see your entire search history on the computer you’re using, click See all under SEARCH HISTORY.

To see your entire search history on any computer you use, sign in to Bing with your Windows Live ID, and then click See all under SEARCH HISTORY.
Sign in to Bing by clicking Sign in at the upper right of any Bing page.
Tip On the Search history page, after you sign in, you can see the search history associated with your Windows Live ID or only that on your computer by clicking one of the links on the left under FROM: Your account or This computer.
Seeing more search history
You can see more of your search history using the < and > buttons at the bottom of the search history page.
Tip Want to see search history for a particular day? Use the calendar on the right side of the history page. The calendar highlights the days on which you have searches and clicks. Click a highlighted day to see your search history from that day.
Turn off search history and custom ranking
Click Turn off on the search results page, or click Turn history off on the search history page.
Turning search history off effectively pauses the feature, whether you’re signed in or not. No clicks and no searches are shown for the searches you do while you have history turned off, but turning history off doesn't delete any of your existing search terms or click information. Turning search history off also stops custom ranking of your results based on your previous searches and clicks.
If you have either JavaScript or cookies disabled in your browser, you may have problems turning off search history. Try enabling both JavaScript and cookies, and then try again.
Turn on search history and custom ranking
If you've turned search history off, you can easily turn it back on by clicking Turn on.
Clear search history
You can clear your search history in any of several ways, depending on how much information you want to remove.

To clear an individual search from search history, click See all to go to the full page of history, and then click the X next to the search you want to remove.

To clear your entire search history, click Clear all.
If you’re not signed in to Bing with your Windows Live ID, doing this clears the search history only on the computer you’re using.
If you’re signed in to Bing with your Windows Live ID, doing this clears the search history on your computer as well the search history associated with your Windows Live ID. -
Use your browser to delete your search history. For more information, see Use your browser to delete search history.
Note This method won’t delete the search history associated with your Windows Live ID.
Clearing your search history clears the information from your browser. For more information about how information is stored and collected in search history, see Information in search history in this topic.
Information in search history
Search history comes from the searches and related information that you send to Bing when you do a search. You can remove your search history from appearing on the site by following the steps above for removing and clearing your search history. Removing your history removes it from the Search History service and prevents that history from being displayed on the site, but it does not delete information from our standard search logs, which are used to operate and improve our products and services, and are retained and anonymized as described in the Bing Supplement to the Microsoft Online Privacy Statement. We store the searches you make separately from any information that directly identifies you, such as your email address or phone number. Even when you are signed in with your Windows Live ID, your searches are stored using a one-way anonymized identifier that does not directly identify you. Where did search history go?
Search History no longer appears in these cases:

If you’ve clicked Turn off.

If you haven’t done any searches after you've clicked Clear all.

If you've cleared your cookies in your browser.

If you’re signed out of Bing with your Windows Live ID but you’ve only searched when signed in.
